In short

Web design in Corum means a site that presents an industrial town's machinery and the Hittite capital in its countryside with the same care. According to local press citing Ministry of Trade data, Corum's exports reached 6.209 billion dollars in 2025. Talha Aslan and team build sites for Corum machinery makers, foundries, leblebi and food brands and guesthouses on the Hittite route, with a written scope and an online process.

Corum's business profile

Which customer does a Corum website have to serve?

TÜİK's 2024 provincial accounts put Corum's output per person at 10,010 dollars, and the following year its exports reached a new high. From milling machinery to roasted chickpeas, and from the Hittite capital to a technology park, that economy gives a website four separate jobs.

Exports nearly tripled in two years

Local press citing Ministry of Trade data reports Corum's exports at 2.206 billion dollars in 2023, 4.311 billion in 2024 and 6.209 billion in 2025, the third largest increase of any province that year. A buyer abroad looks at a Corum supplier's website before anything else, so the pages have to follow that buyer's language and logic.

Grain technology and milling machinery

The Central Black Sea Development Agency's 2024 to 2028 regional plan lists Corum's leading branches as grain technology, food processing machinery, flour mill plants and machines, metal casting and moulding, and leather footwear; Hitit University and a technology park are located in the city. A machinery buyer needs capacities, installed plants and service arrangements without hunting for them.

Leblebi and registered local foods

According to the Corum Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, Çorum leblebi, the town's roasted chickpea, has been a registered geographical indication since 2002; İskilip dolması, Oğuzlar walnuts, Kargı tulum cheese and several dishes from Alaca are registered too. Wholesale and retail customers alike want to read where and how the product is made.

Hattusa and the Hittite route

The regional plan notes that Hattusa, the Hittite capital, joined the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1986, and aims to make it, with Yazılıkaya, Alacahöyük and Şapinuva, the region's main cultural destination. A guesthouse or tour operator in Boğazkale or Alaca has to explain the route with distances, transport and a clear enquiry button.

How we work

Corum projects run on screen shared calls

We have no branch, dealer or representative in Corum. With Corum businesses and their partners abroad, the first conversation, design rounds and panel training happen on video calls with screen sharing, in English or Turkish; machine photos, technical sheets and product images go into a shared folder, and the contract and payment are completed online. If you are in Istanbul, you can also meet us at our office in Ataşehir by appointment.

Talha Aslan sets the strategy; design, development and copy are the work of experienced colleagues. For a milling machinery maker we first list what a foreign investor checks before asking for a quote; for a leblebi brand, what a supermarket buyer and a single pack customer want to know. The menu, page order and forms come from that list.

  • Buyer and visitor profiles defined in the discovery call
  • Pages, languages and launch date in the written scope
  • Drafts approved on a live preview address
  • Every step logged with its date in our CRM
  • Panel training on screen after launch

Sites most requested in Corum

What Corum businesses and their partners need most

Machinery, foundries, registered foods and Hittite heritage turn into these decisions on the site.

Flour mill and grain machinery exports

Pages split by machine group, capacity tables, photos and videos from installed plants and a spare parts and service request form, so an investor sees what the company can build before asking for a quote. Manufacturers can look at the website for manufacturers page.

Foundries, moulds and component suppliers

Pages grouping sample parts by material, a machine park list, quality certificates and a quote area where buyers can upload a technical drawing, because procurement teams judge suppliers by their documents. For long product lists the catalogue website page shows the setup.

Leblebi and regional food brands

Product varieties, registration details, pack and carton options, a wholesale request form and an optional online shop, so gift orders and bulk purchases run side by side without getting mixed up. Producers selling farm goods can also see the website for agricultural businesses page.

Guesthouses and tours on the Hittite route

Distances to the sites, transport and guide information, seasonal photos and a direct enquiry button for guesthouses and tour operators in Boğazkale and Alaca. Accommodation businesses will find details on the hotel website page.

Process

From brief to launch in four steps

  1. Discovery and scope

We define your business, your audience and the site’s one-sentence job: who it sells what to, through which action. Scope and timeline are written from that answer.

  2. Design approval

The home page and key templates come to you as designs first; no code is written before your approval. We do not like surprises, and we do not cause them.

  3. Development

The approved design becomes fast, secure, maintainable code. You follow progress in the CRM and see every page in a staging environment before launch.

  4. Launch and measurement

The site goes live with analytics, Search Console and conversion tracking connected; panel training is given, first-year hosting and maintenance included.

In-depth guide

Web Design Corum: Sites for Mill Makers, Leblebi Brands and Hattusa

Talha Aslan and teamLast updated: 15 min read

Most people who open the website of a Corum company have never been to the province. A miller in another country comparing plant suppliers, a supermarket buyer looking for a new roasted chickpea brand, a traveler planning a day at the Lion Gate of Hattusa: each of them meets the business on a screen first. Good web design in Corum starts from that fact and makes the visitor's decision easier before any phone call happens.

In this guide, Talha Aslan and team walk through the decisions a Corum machinery maker, foundry, food producer or guesthouse faces when building or rebuilding a website, in the order they usually come up. Each section ends in something you can check yourself, ask an agency, or put straight onto a page.

What a Website Has to Carry in Corum's Economy

A Corum website has to earn trust from buyers outside the province, because much of the local growth now comes from selling beyond it. According to local press citing Ministry of Trade data, the province exported goods worth 2.206 billion dollars in 2023, 4.311 billion in 2024 and 6.209 billion in 2025, which made it the third fastest growing exporter among Turkish provinces that year. TÜİK's provincial figures put GDP per person in 2024 at about 10,000 dollars, between Amasya to the east and Yozgat to the south.

A single brochure page cannot serve that mix. Rank the jobs your site has to do before anyone opens a design tool:

  • Convince export buyers: machine groups, capacities, installed plants and a quote request in the buyer's language.
  • Qualify as a supplier: materials, size ranges and quality certificates for foundries and component makers.
  • Sell a registered product: origin, pack sizes and a wholesale route for leblebi, walnuts or cheese.
  • Host visitors: distances, transport and quick contact for lodging near Boğazkale and Alaca.

Most firms have one dominant job and one supporting job. What sets Corum apart from its neighbors is that heavy industry and cultural tourism are both strong inside the same provincial borders, so copying a site built for another province rarely fits. Once the ranking is on paper, the menu, the first line of the homepage and the budget all follow from it.

Who Searches for Corum Businesses, and How

Searches that reach Corum businesses come from four distinct groups, and each one needs a different landing page rather than a shared homepage.

  • Local customers: people in the provincial center add the city name to a service, while people in Sungurlu, Osmancık, İskilip or Alaca often type their own district instead.
  • Technical buyers: an investor abroad searches for "flour mill plant", "roller mill" or "grain cleaning machine" in their own language and checks the location only after finding a supplier.
  • Heritage travelers: visitors search for Hattusa, Boğazköy, Yazılıkaya, Alacahöyük or Şapinuva rather than the province name.
  • Verifiers: someone who already has your quote or trade fair brochure searches your company name to confirm you are real and current.

A practical exercise: export the last twelve months of queries from Google Search Console and tag each one as district, technical term, heritage site or brand name. The largest group tells you which family of pages to write first. Without an existing site, you can do the same exercise by reading the titles of competitors that rank for your main products.

Choosing a Remote Partner Without Losing Control

Our work with Corum businesses runs fully online, so the right partner is the one whose process is written down clearly, not the one closest to your gate. Written scope, dated records and regular screen sharing replace the trust a face to face meeting would give.

Ask every agency you talk to the following, and ask for the answers in writing:

  • Technical content: Who turns your spec sheets, capacity tables and certificates into readable pages?
  • Translation: Who translates, and who checks that milling and casting terms are correct in each language?
  • Approvals: At which stage will you review the design on a live preview link, on your own phone?
  • Tracking: Where can you see the status of the project without waiting for an e-mail?
  • Proof: Which live industrial, food or hospitality sites can you open yourself today?

Ask for live addresses rather than screenshots; testing a real form on your own phone tells you more than any slide deck. You can browse our live work on the projects in our portfolio.

Domain, Hosting, Code and Accounts in Your Name

The website and every account connected to it should belong to your company, and that rule should be in the contract before the first payment. In family firms that have passed through two or three generations, it is common to find the old site registered under a relative's or a former employee's personal account, which can cost weeks during a redesign.

Run through this ownership checklist:

  • Domain: registered to the company's legal name, with registrar login details held by you.
  • Hosting: contract in your name, with the backup location and restore procedure written down.
  • Code and content: design, copy, machine photos and spec sheets transferred to you on delivery.
  • Google accounts: you are the owner of Search Console, Analytics, Business Profile and Ads; the agency is an added user.

Store the passwords in a shared company password vault rather than on one person's phone. When an export manager or accountant leaves, access stays with the business.

One question settles most of this: "If we stopped working with you tomorrow, which files and access rights would you hand to the next team?" If the answer is vague, add a handover clause before you sign.

The Project Step by Step, Run Fully Online

A Corum project moves through screen shared calls, a shared folder and a CRM record, so you can always see what was approved and when. The usual sequence looks like this:

  1. Discovery call: we map buyers, visitors and competitors, and agree which of the site's jobs comes first.
  2. Written scope: page list, languages, forms and delivery date go into one document for your sign off.
  3. Material collection: machine photos, capacity tables, certificates or room pictures go into the shared folder; gaps are listed.
  4. Design round: the homepage and one machine or product page are reviewed together on a live preview, on phone and desktop.
  5. Build and content: the approved design is applied to every page; copy and translations are placed.
  6. Launch and training: redirects, tracking and forms are tested, then the admin panel training happens on screen and the recording stays with you.

Contracts and payments are completed online. If you are ever in Istanbul, we can also meet by appointment at our office in Ataşehir; project tracking continues on the same CRM screen either way.

The step that needs the most time from your side is material collection. If photos of installed plants or current certificates arrive late, the schedule slips here. Naming one person on your team as owner right after the discovery call is the simplest fix.

Business Profile and District Searches Across Corum

Local visibility starts with a correctly set up Google Business Profile, before anything happens on the site itself. The profile name has to match the name on your sign; Google's guidelines do not allow added keywords, so appending "leblebi wholesale Corum" to a shop name breaks the rules and puts the listing at risk.

The checks we recommend for Corum businesses:

  • Consistent address: the factory in the organized industrial zone or the shop in the old market has the same address in the profile, the site footer and the contact page.
  • Right category: a mill machinery maker picks a manufacturing category and a guesthouse picks a lodging category, without stacking unrelated extras.
  • Real service area: firms that work on site list the districts they truly serve; service area businesses may hide their address.
  • Current photos: real images of the workshop, machine park or rooms, refreshed when something changes.

On district pages, a clear position: cloning one page for Bayat, Dodurga, Laçin, Uğurludağ and Kargı with only the name swapped is what Google treats as doorway pages, and it does harm. Write a dedicated page only for a district where you have a branch, a depot or regular service, and describe the actual work there. Mention the rest in a service area sentence. Our SEO service covers local search in more depth.

Which Second Language Pays Off for Corum Firms

For many Corum firms a second language is a sales tool, but the choice of language should come from your real buyer list rather than from a guess. In a province whose exports roughly tripled in three years, it is normal for one company to need English plus the language of its main market.

Group the quote requests and orders of the last two years by country. If most inquiries arrive in English, an English version comes first. If your buyers cluster in one region, for example where Arabic, Russian or French is spoken, publish at least the machine group pages and the quote form in that language.

Tourism follows a different logic. The excavations at Hattusa have long been associated with German archaeologists, and German diplomatic missions in Turkey present that shared history to their audience. For a guesthouse in Boğazkale, German is a sensible second step after English.

Technically, each language should live at its own address and carry hreflang annotations that reference every other version and itself. We advise against automatic translation plugins; a person who knows the trade should check technical terms. Also decide who answers inquiries in each language, because a German question answered days later in Turkish costs more trust than having no German page. Our multilingual website page explains the setup.

Speed and Security for Image Heavy Industrial Sites

What slows down most machinery websites is the image archive rather than the code: full resolution photos from a plant visit and long factory videos uploaded as they are. On industrial sites, speed work starts with that archive.

Google's Core Web Vitals give clear targets. LCP, which measures how quickly the main content loads, is good at 2.5 seconds or less; INP, which measures how quickly the page reacts to a tap, is good at 200 milliseconds or less; CLS, which measures unexpected layout movement, is good at 0.1 or less. Each is assessed at the 75th percentile of real visits.

  • Image format: convert photos to a light format such as WebP and never upload them larger than their display size.
  • Video: show plant videos through a player that loads on click instead of embedding heavy files.
  • Spec sheets: offer PDFs as compressed downloads instead of embedding them in the page.
  • Security: an SSL certificate, current software, scheduled backups and spam protection on forms as standard.

Write real alt text as well: "four roller flour mill after installation" instead of "IMG_4521" helps accessibility and image search. Foreign buyers often open your site on mobile data at a fair or on hotel wifi. Our mobile friendly test shows how your current site behaves on a phone in a few seconds.

Sector Examples From Mills to Guesthouses

Corum's leading sectors each need their own family of pages. The 2024 to 2028 regional plan of the Central Black Sea Development Agency lists grain technology, food processing machinery, flour mill plants and machinery, metal casting and molding, and leather footwear among the province's prominent production lines.

  • Flour mill and grain machinery maker: pages per machine group, downloadable capacity tables and installed plants grouped by country, plus one page that explains a turnkey plant step by step.
  • Foundry and mold shop: part samples grouped by material, a machine park list and a quote form that accepts technical drawings.
  • Leather footwear maker: a model catalog, minimum order quantities and a clear contact route for private label production.
  • Leblebi and regional food brand: varieties, geographical indication details, carton options and a separate wholesale form.
  • Lodging on the Hittite route: distances to the sites, transport options and one tap contact.

Hitit University and the technology park in the city center add another audience: software and engineering startups, whose sites double as recruiting pages for graduates.

For manufacturers, our website for manufacturers page covers page structure in detail. Whatever your sector, the first question is the same: which three facts must your buyer see before asking for a quote?

Legal Basics: KVKK, Cookies and Online Sales Terms

Any site with a form collects personal data, so a small guesthouse and a large machinery maker in Corum both need a privacy notice under Turkey's data protection law. Article 10 of KVKK, Law No. 6698, requires the business to explain who collects the data, why it is processed and what rights the person has.

  • Privacy notice: link it under every quote, service and booking form, and write it from your real processes, not a template.
  • Cookie consent: nonessential analytics and advertising cookies should wait for the visitor's permission. For visitors from the European Economic Area, Google also requires consent mode for measurement and personalized advertising.
  • Online sales: if you sell leblebi or regional products online, show the pre contract information, sales contract, withdrawal and return terms required by Turkish distance selling rules before the payment step.
  • Geographical indication: follow the registration holder's rules when you use a registered product name, and ask the holder if in doubt.

Export sites often collect inquiries from the EU and the UK as well, so check with your legal advisor whether those visitors trigger additional duties for your business. We recommend a lawyer review all of these texts; our part is to build the site so they appear in the right place at the right moment. For the store side, see our e-commerce service.

Redesigning Without Losing Search Rankings

The most valuable asset of a Corum website that has been live for years is its old URLs that bring search traffic, so a redesign plan starts by protecting them. However fresh the new design is, if old machine or product pages return a 404 error, the visibility they built up is gone.

  1. Inventory: list every old URL from Search Console and a crawler, marking those with traffic or external links.
  2. Mapping: build a table that pairs each old URL with its closest new equivalent.
  3. Redirects: turn the table into permanent 301 redirects and avoid redirect chains.
  4. Launch day check: confirm that robots rules and noindex tags from the staging site did not come along.
  5. Monitoring: watch the error reports in Search Console during the weeks after launch.

One detail catches many teams: do not block a page in robots.txt if you want it out of the index, because Google cannot read the noindex tag on a blocked page. Keep it crawlable and add noindex.

Older Corum sites often publish the same machine twice, once in an old catalog section and once in a later news post. Merge such duplicates into one strong page and redirect the other address to it. Our website redesign page lays out the whole process.

Six Common Mistakes on Corum Business Sites

Most problems on Corum company sites come from building the site once and leaving it, not from bad intent. Each has a better alternative:

  • One giant PDF catalog: instead of a 40 page file holding every machine, give each machine group its own searchable page.
  • Turkish only: instead of ignoring the language your inquiries arrive in, publish at least machine pages and the quote form in the buyer's language.
  • Wholesale mixed with retail: instead of sending a supermarket buyer to a single pack cart, give wholesale its own section and form.
  • Hidden installed plants: instead of "we export to many countries", show the plants you have permission to name, with country, year and photos.
  • Guesthouse without directions: instead of room photos alone, put distances to Hattusa, Yazılıkaya and the bus station on the first screen.
  • Outdated contact details: instead of a former employee's number, review the contact page, footer and Business Profile together every quarter.

Run this list against your current site once. The number of items that apply gives a rough idea of how deep the redesign needs to go.

What Drives the Budget, Without Price Tags

Scope sets the budget, not the city: a machinery maker in Corum and a business in Istanbul choose from the same packages. Knowing in advance which decisions widen or narrow the scope makes quotes easier to compare.

  • Number of page families: ten machine groups, hundreds of spare parts or twenty product varieties are very different workloads.
  • Languages and translation source: whether you supply translations or they are part of the project changes the quote.
  • Online sales: a store with payment, shipping and stock connections is a larger job than a showcase site.
  • Custom modules: spare part requests, service tickets or a dealer login are planned separately.
  • Content production: who writes copy and shoots photos affects both schedule and scope.

When comparing quotes, look past the final figure and check whether each of these items is written in. If a quote leaves out language versions or a redirect plan, that work comes back later as an extra. Also check maintenance: are updates, backups and security patches after launch included, or do they need a separate agreement? Our web design service page lists the full scope.

The First 90 Days and Your Next Step

Launch day is not the finish line; the first 90 days show how the site works with real visitors from Corum and abroad. Small, measured fixes in this period do more than a second redesign would.

  1. First two weeks: test that forms, the WhatsApp button and click to call actually reach you, and clear indexing errors in Search Console.
  2. Month one: compare which machine, product or room pages get the most visits with the ones that produce inquiries.
  3. Month two: add answers to the three most frequent questions on the relevant pages, and add more photos of installed plants or happy guests.
  4. Month three: review traffic by language version and decide with that data whether a new language or an ad campaign is justified.

Before you decide, answer three questions: is it clear which buyer the site serves first, are the photos and documents ready, and who in your company will own the project? With answers to all three, a web design project for a Corum company moves quickly. You can review our fixed packages in the web design pricing section, or book a video call with us to walk us through your machines, products or guesthouse.
