Strong Passwords: Length Is Everything
Two things determine a password's strength: the size of the character pool and length. Length matters far more: every added character multiplies the number of guesses needed. An 8-character "complex" password can fall to modern hardware within hours, while a 16-character one is practically uncrackable by the same attack. This tool generates passwords with your browser's cryptographic randomness source (crypto.getRandomValues); it is fully independent of keyboard habits, dictionary words and predictable patterns, and no data ever leaves your device.
The three basic rules of password hygiene: use a different password for every account (one breach shouldn't topple the rest), store them in a password manager (a password you don't have to remember can be long) and turn on two-factor authentication wherever it's supported. The modern answer to "how do I remember my password?" is: you don't; the manager remembers, you know one master passphrase. The 16+ character outputs of this tool are ideal as account passwords stored in a manager.
