In short

Web design in Antalya starts with the guest or buyer abroad. Figures shared by Turkey's Ministry of Culture and Tourism show Antalya welcomed 17,278,103 visitors in 2024, led by Russia, Germany and the United Kingdom. According to TÜİK, the province produced 3.42% of Turkey's GDP the same year. Talha Aslan and team work with Antalya businesses online, with a written scope and progress tracked in our CRM.

Antalya's economic profile

What should a website do for a business in Antalya?

TÜİK's 2024 provincial GDP data puts Antalya's share of Turkey's economy at 3.42%, and the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO) describes the province as Turkey's sixth largest economy on 2023 data. Tourism, farming and the free zone give a website four distinct jobs.

Guests check the site before they arrive

According to figures shared by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Antalya set a record of 17,278,103 visitors in 2024; Russia, Germany and the United Kingdom were the top three markets. A family from Manchester or Düsseldorf looks for a hotel, villa or boat trip in its own language, and if rooms, location and contact details are unclear, the enquiry goes to a booking platform instead of to you.

Greenhouses that feed export markets

In TÜİK's 2024 data by sector, Antalya ranked third in agriculture, forestry and fishing with 4.6% of Turkey's output, after Konya and Izmir. ATSO notes that the province has Turkey's largest area under greenhouse cover and that fresh fruit and vegetables make up roughly a third of its exports. A produce buyer wants a harvest calendar, certificates and volumes on one clear page.

Yachts and industry in the free zone

Founded in 1987, the Antalya Free Zone is described by its operator as one of the highest capacity yacht building, maintenance and repair centres in the Eastern Mediterranean, and it also hosts textile, electronics and machinery producers. Owners and brokers judge a shipyard by its website first: delivered boats, capacity and technical details belong on well organised English pages.

Search spread along the coast

Search in Antalya does not gather in one centre: people look for clinics or property in Muratpaşa and Konyaaltı, hotels and tours in Alanya and Manavgat, boat trips in Kemer and villas in Kaş. Your site and your Google Business Profile have to match the district you genuinely serve.

How we work

With Antalya clients, the whole project runs online

We have no office, branch or staff in Antalya, and we tell you so on the first call. With hotels, agencies, growers and their partners abroad, the project runs over video calls in English or Turkish, a written scope and our CRM, where everything from room photos to product certificates is collected. If you are in Istanbul and prefer to meet in person, we can host you at Nida Kule in Ataşehir.

Talha Aslan sets the strategy; design, development and content are handled by experienced team members. For tourism businesses we fix the launch date against the opening of the season, and for growers and exporters against harvest and trade fair dates; which languages the site opens in is part of the same written plan.

  • Discovery call and design walkthrough on screen
  • A written delivery plan built around your season
  • Content, photos and approvals collected in our CRM
  • No code before the design is approved
  • Meetings at our Ataşehir office in Istanbul if you wish

Process

From brief to launch in four steps

  1. Discovery and scope

We define your business, your audience and the site’s one-sentence job: who it sells what to, through which action. Scope and timeline are written from that answer.

  2. Design approval

The home page and key templates come to you as designs first; no code is written before your approval. We do not like surprises, and we do not cause them.

  3. Development

The approved design becomes fast, secure, maintainable code. You follow progress in the CRM and see every page in a staging environment before launch.

  4. Launch and measurement

The site goes live with analytics, Search Console and conversion tracking connected; panel training is given, first-year hosting and maintenance included.

In-depth guide

Web Design Antalya: Sites for Resorts, Growers and Yacht Yards

Talha Aslan and teamLast updated: 16 min read

Most people who judge an Antalya business online have never been to its door. A tour operator in Leeds checks a hotel before adding it to a brochure, a produce importer in Rotterdam compares greenhouse suppliers, a British couple shortlists villas in Kalkan from a phone on the train. Web design in Antalya therefore starts with a reader who is far away, reads in another language and decides quickly.

This guide is for owners of hotels, villas, tour and transfer companies, greenhouse exporters and yacht yards on the Antalya coast, and for foreign investors who run a business there. We, Talha Aslan and team, set out the decisions in the order you will face them, with questions to put to any agency and checks you can run yourself.

What a Website Has to Carry in Antalya's Economy

An Antalya website should be built around whichever of the province's three engines pays your bills: tourism, greenhouse farming or industry in the free zone. According to TÜİK's provincial GDP data, Antalya produced 3.42 percent of Turkey's GDP in 2024, and the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO) ranks it as the country's sixth largest economy on 2023 figures. In 2024 it was also home to 3.18 percent of Turkey's population, ahead of Konya and Adana.

Each engine asks something different of a site. A resort sells atmosphere and ease, an exporter sells reliability and paperwork, a shipyard sells engineering capacity. Write down short answers to these questions before any design work:

  • Revenue timing: Does most income arrive with summer guests, with the winter harvest or through contracts that run all year?
  • The decision maker: Is it a family booking a holiday, a category buyer at a supermarket chain, or a yacht owner and the captain who advises them?
  • Leaking demand: Which enquiries currently end up with a booking platform, a broker or a competitor instead of with you?
  • The site's job: Should it take bookings directly, or hand qualified conversations to your phone and WhatsApp?

These answers decide the menu, the first sentence above the fold and which language goes live first. Skip them and the project tends to reopen in the middle of the season.

Who Searches for What Along the Antalya Coast

Search behavior in Antalya changes with the district and the month, so one keyword list for the whole province will miss most of the real demand. Residents in the city look for services; visitors on the coast look for experiences.

  • City districts: In Muratpaşa, Konyaaltı and Kepez, searches are everyday and local: a pediatric dentist, a boiler repair, an apartment to rent.
  • Resort towns: Golf hotels in Belek, family resorts in Side and Manavgat, boat trips from Kemer, private pool villas in Kaş and Kalkan; most of these searches happen in English, German or Russian.
  • Farming belt: Buyers looking at Kumluca, Finike or Demre search by crop, certificate and shipping window, and often never type a district name.
  • Off season: In winter, hotel and tour searches turn into early booking research, while produce buyers plan harvest volumes and logistics.

A useful exercise: list last year's form submissions and calls by month. Your site should be finished at least two months before the busiest month, because international guests research trips weeks or months ahead. That date, not the agency's workload, belongs in the written quote.

Hiring a Team Based Outside the Province

Our work with Antalya businesses runs fully online, so judge any partner by how clearly the process is written down and by live projects you can test, not by distance. For tourism clients the decisive test is whether the agency treats your opening date as fixed.

Ask every agency these questions and expect the answers inside the proposal:

  • Deadline logic: Is the launch date planned backwards from your season opening, with the risks that could move it listed?
  • Language ownership: Which languages does the team write, and which translations are you expected to supply?
  • Booking connection: Have they connected your booking engine or channel manager before, and who is responsible if the link fails?
  • Peak season support: If a form breaks in July, who answers, through which channel and how fast?
  • Proof: Which live hospitality or export sites can you open on your phone and use right now?

When you test a live site, walk the guest's path from a room page to the enquiry form, submit it and check whether the confirmation arrives and in which language. That one test says more than any slide deck. Ask, too, for a short written summary after each call; in remote projects those notes are what build trust.

You can see our live hotel and logistics work on our references page.

Owning the Domain, Booking Accounts and Access

In Antalya's tourism businesses, ownership problems rarely come from the website itself; they come from the accounts around it. Check that every account is registered to the business before the season starts, because recovering access in August means lost bookings.

  • Domain: The registrant must be your company, and renewal notices should go to a permanent business address, not to a seasonal employee's inbox.
  • Booking engine and channel manager: The contract and admin login sit in your name; the website only carries the connection.
  • Google Business Profile: The business is the primary owner; the agency and the hotel manager get manager access only.
  • Analytics and ads: Search Console, GA4 and any advertising account are created under the company, with the agency added as a user.
  • Photos and code: Usage rights for professional room, pool and yacht photography are written down, and the site files can be handed over in full on request.

A shared password vault in the company's name protects you when seasonal staff or managers change. We register the domain in your business name and hand over every admin login on launch day, with no lock in.

A Remote Project Timed to the Season

In Antalya, the order of work should be planned backwards from a fixed date such as a season opening or the start of harvest. Our process runs like this:

  1. Discovery call: Over video we go through your guests or buyers, your opening date and your current site.
  2. Written scope and timeline: Page list, languages, booking connection and launch date are stated in the proposal.
  3. Content collection: Room, tour, product or yacht details, photos and certificates are gathered against a checklist in our CRM.
  4. Design approval: You review the design in the browser and leave comments on the exact element; no code is written before you approve.
  5. Languages and testing: Each language is checked separately, and forms and the booking link are tested on several phones.
  6. Launch and training: A short video session shows your team how to update seasonal offers and texts.

You follow every step live in the CRM. If you would rather meet in person, we can see you by appointment at our office in Ataşehir, Istanbul; it is an option, never a requirement, and most Antalya clients never need it.

Step three usually decides the timeline. If rooms are photographed in winter, plan a second round to swap empty gardens and covered pools for summer shots. Exporters save time by collecting current certificates and lab reports before the harvest rush.

Local Search and Maps in the Resort Districts

Visibility on Google Maps in Antalya depends on your Business Profile matching your website exactly, because guests often see the profile first. Google's guidelines require the profile name to match your real world name, so additions like "Lara Beachfront Cheap Hotel" put the listing at risk of suspension.

  • Precise location: If your hotel is in Side, say Side, give the airport distance and the walking time to the beach, instead of "close to Antalya".
  • Service areas: Transfer companies and boat trip operators that travel to customers can hide their address and list the areas they really serve, such as Alanya, Manavgat or Kemer.
  • No doorway pages: Ten pages that differ only in the town name help nobody; create a page only where you have a real departure point, with meeting place, route and duration.
  • Seasonal hours: Businesses that close or change hours in winter must update the profile; a guest who drives to a closed gate leaves a review.

Reviews carry unusual weight on the coast. Replying to a German review in German, briefly and personally, shows future guests that someone reads them. If you want local and international search planned together, see our SEO service.

Russian, German or English: Choosing Languages

Choose languages by where your own guests and buyers come from. Ministry of Culture and Tourism figures show Russia, Germany and the United Kingdom as Antalya's top three visitor markets in 2024, with 17,278,103 visitors in total, but the province average may not match your guest book, so start with your own booking records.

  • English: The shared language of British guests, Scandinavian and Dutch travelers, Eastern European visitors and most produce buyers; usually the first extra language.
  • German: A careful German version builds trust with families from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and with Turkish families living in Germany.
  • Russian: Essential for hotels and tour operators with many Russian guests; since part of that audience uses Yandex, registering the site in Yandex Webmaster is worth the few minutes.
  • Turkish: Stays for domestic guests, local buyers and recruitment.

Each language needs its own URL and reciprocal hreflang tags, where every version points to itself and to all others, so Google knows which page serves which language. Keep Russian URLs in Latin characters so shared links do not break. You can produce the tags with our hreflang generator.

Once you pass three languages, plan the structure first; our multilingual website page explains how.

Heavy Galleries, Summer Traffic and Security

The biggest threat to speed on Antalya sites is high resolution photography of pools, beaches and boats, yet a fast site does not require giving up the gallery. We measure speed against Google's Core Web Vitals.

At the 75th percentile of visits, LCP (largest contentful paint, the time until the largest element appears) should be 2.5 seconds or less, INP (interaction to next paint, how quickly the page responds to a tap) 200 milliseconds or less, and CLS (cumulative layout shift, how much content jumps while loading) 0.1 or less. On hotel sites, the sea view hero image usually decides LCP.

  • Image formats: Photos are served as WebP or AVIF in several sizes, so a phone never downloads a desktop image.
  • Lazy loading: Only the visible part of a gallery loads first; the rest follows as the guest scrolls.
  • Hosting location: If most guests are in Europe, hosting and the content delivery network are chosen for them.
  • Security: SSL, a named person responsible for updates and backups stored away from the server are agreed in writing.

Think about the arriving guest as well: someone who has just landed and searches for their transfer usually browses on slow roaming data. Phone number, address and the WhatsApp button must appear before the gallery loads.

Schedule plugin updates and larger changes outside the season, and test smaller ones on a staging copy first; a broken booking form in the busiest week is expensive.

Page Structures for Antalya's Industries

Every industry in Antalya needs its own page skeleton; a hotel room page and a seedling grower's product page cannot share a template. The examples below are not client case studies but typical structures we use for common business types in the province.

  • Boutique hotels and aparthotels: One page per room type with size, bed layout, view and real photos, plus date selection and a direct enquiry above the fold. More on the hotel website page.
  • Villas in Kaş and Kalkan: An availability calendar, pool and privacy details, distance to the nearest shop and beach; the villa rental website page covers this flow.
  • Greenhouse growers: Product groups, a month by month harvest calendar, packing options, certificates and a short quote form asking for product, volume and destination port; see the farm business website page.
  • Free zone shipyards: Delivered boats, haul out and refit capacity, and a technical enquiry form; the yacht maintenance website page goes into detail.
  • Health tourism clinics: Treatment pages that also state who is not a candidate; the promotion rules are in the legal section below.

A note for citrus growers: if you work with a known product such as Finike oranges, harvest months and packing format are the first things a buyer asks. Put them in page text rather than in a PDF catalog, so search engines and buyers can both find them.

Privacy, Cookies, Cancellations and Health Promotion

The legal layer of an Antalya site has to satisfy Turkish law and the expectations of European visitors at the same time. The content of legal texts is your or your counsel's responsibility; we make sure they sit in the right place, read clearly and connect to every form.

  • KVKK notice: Article 10 of Turkey's data protection law (Law No. 6698) requires an information notice wherever you collect personal data, including booking and quote forms; ask for passport details only if you truly need them.
  • Cookie consent: Visitors from the European Economic Area must consent before non essential tracking, and Google requires consent mode for measurement and personalized advertising features for these users; UK visitors expect a comparable choice.
  • Cancellation terms: Rules on withdrawal can work differently for dated services such as stays and tours than for goods, so agree the terms with your adviser and show them clearly before payment.
  • Health services: Turkey's regulation of 12 November 2025 bans advertising of health services and price or campaign information, requires a last updated date and editor contact, and ties before and after images to written consent and strict conditions.

For clinics serving international patients, these rules apply to English, German and Russian pages too. Health data is special category data under Article 6 of the same law, so decide in writing how photos and test results sent through a pre assessment form will be stored before you ask for them.

Redesigning in the Off Season Without Losing Rankings

For Antalya's tourism businesses, the safest time to relaunch is the quiet months; the real risk is losing old URLs that have brought visitors for years. A prettier site with missing redirects can bring fewer enquiries in its first season than the old one did.

  1. Inventory: List every old URL, the room and tour pages that earn clicks in Search Console and the pages that receive external links.
  2. Mapping by language: Map each old URL to its closest new page in the same language; an old German page should never be sent to the English homepage.
  3. Permanent redirects: Implement the map with 301 redirects, which tell browsers and Google that the page has moved for good.
  4. Monitoring: In the first weeks, watch error reports and traffic by country and fix anything that slipped through.

Do not rely on robots.txt alone to keep the staging site out of search. Google cannot read a noindex tag on a page blocked in robots.txt; to keep a page out of the index it must be crawlable and carry noindex. Password protection on staging is the safer route.

Include old guest reviews, awards and links from travel forums in the inventory. If a room page has been shared on a forum for years, that link must lead to the right new page.

Common Mistakes on Antalya Business Sites

Most repeated mistakes on Antalya websites come from never looking at the site through a foreign visitor's eyes. Here are the six most common, each with a better alternative:

  1. Publishing raw machine translation: Instead of auto translating and leaving it, have at least the homepage, room pages and contact page reviewed by a fluent speaker.
  2. Only a platform button: Instead of "book via Booking.com", put a direct enquiry form, WhatsApp and phone first and keep the platform as the second option.
  3. Stock photography: Instead of generic images that look like someone else's pool, show your real rooms, breakfast and view.
  4. Vague location: Instead of "near the sea", state the walking minutes to the beach and the distance from the airport.
  5. Certificates as images: Instead of scanned pictures, write the certificate name, issuing body and validity date as text and attach the original file.
  6. A site abandoned all winter: Instead of letting it go stale when the season closes, show next season's opening date and an early enquiry form.

None of these requires a full rebuild. If you recognize several on your current site, first check which ones can be fixed with new text and photos alone.

What Shapes the Budget of an Antalya Project

Scope, not location, sets the cost of an Antalya project; our prices are the same in every province. For tourism and export businesses, the items that move a quote are usually these:

  • Number of languages: Each extra language such as Russian or German means adapted copy, a separate review and hreflang setup.
  • Rooms, tours and products: A business with forty room types or twenty tour routes needs far more content and photo work.
  • Booking and channel integration: How your existing booking engine connects to the site, and how long testing takes, changes the scope.
  • Document library: Certificates, lab reports and spec sheets organized by language are a separate line item.
  • Custom software: An agency portal or buyer specific price lists go beyond a website and are planned as their own development work.

To keep scope small, launch with the languages and pages that bring the most guests or buyers and add the rest in the off season. Phasing protects the launch date and spreads the budget over the calendar.

The First 90 Days After Launch and Your Next Step

Launch is where the useful data starts; if you do not measure what brings enquiries in the first 90 days, next season's decisions will be guesses. We suggest a simple written plan:

  1. Month one: Confirm that forms, calls and WhatsApp messages are tracked as conversions and clear the error reports in Search Console.
  2. Month two: Split enquiries by language and country and review copy and photos on any language version that underperforms.
  3. Month three: Strengthen the most visited room, tour or product page and write next season's content and offer plan.

Before you decide, answer three questions for your own business: which countries your guests or buyers come from, when your season opens, and which photos and documents are ready. Those answers settle half the scope.

You can review our fixed price packages under web design pricing and book a short video discovery call through our contact page. After the call, we send a written scope and proposal timed to your season.
