Most visitors to an Adana company website are not browsing. They are an importer checking whether a citrus packer can ship in the right carton, an engineer at a project company vetting a subcontractor near Ceyhan, or a family in Osmaniye looking for a hospital department. Good web design in Adana starts from those questions and gives each one a short, direct answer.
In this guide, Talha Aslan and team walk through the decisions an Adana business, or a foreign partner sourcing from one, makes during a website project, in the order they come up. Each section ends in something you can act on: a question for an agency, a check to run yourself or a rule for the scope.
01What an Adana Website Has to Prove to a Buyer
An Adana website has to prove three things before anyone picks up the phone: that you make or supply what the buyer needs, that you can deliver it at scale, and that you are a real, documented company. Buyers rarely visit the Çukurova plain before a first order; the site does the vetting.
The regional picture explains why this matters. According to TÜİK's 2024 provincial GDP figures, Adana produced 1.96% of Turkey's GDP and ranked 9th of 81 provinces, next to Mersin at 2.14% and Hatay at 1.41%. Three provinces of similar weight sit side by side, so a buyer usually has several comparable suppliers on the shortlist.
Before any design work, write down short answers to these questions:
- Proof of capacity: Which figures, such as lines, shifts, storage or fleet, can you publish without exposing anything sensitive?
- Proof of compliance: Which certificates do your export markets or project clients ask for first?
- Proof of reality: Can you show your own site, staff and loading area in photos rather than generic images?
- Next step: What should a serious buyer do on the site: request a quote, a sample, a call or a site visit?
Those answers decide the first screen, the menu order and the fields in your enquiry form; skipping them produces a polished brochure that never generates a request.
02Search Intent Around Adana: Districts, Crops and Seasons
People who find Adana businesses through search fall into a few distinct groups, and each group needs a different kind of page.
- District searches: Locals search in Turkish for things like "Çukurova çocuk doktoru" (pediatrician) or "Seyhan muhasebeci" (accountant); they want a map pin, opening hours and a call button.
- Product searches: Importers search for things like "bulk peanut supplier Turkey" or "soybean exporter Turkey" without naming the city; a product page with specifications wins here.
- Service searches from projects: Procurement teams look for haulage, scaffolding, inspection or maintenance contractors near Ceyhan, often in English.
- Seasonal searches: Summer brings searches for hotels and fish restaurants on the Karataş and Yumurtalık coast, while citrus and watermelon trade concentrates around harvest.
There is also a naming trap. "Adana kebab" is searched worldwide, and most of those searches have nothing to do with restaurants in the city. A grill house in Seyhan does better with location phrases such as "ocakbaşı near Taşköprü" than with the dish name alone.
A quick exercise: ask one colleague in Seyhan and one in Ceyhan to run the same service search on their phones with location turned on, then compare the results. The difference shows how much district signals matter.
03Choosing a Remote Partner for an Adana Project
Our work with Adana businesses runs fully online, so judge any partner by how clearly they document the process rather than by how close their office is. For a company whose year revolves around a harvest or a trade fair, a missed week can mean a missed season.
Ask every agency you speak to the following, and ask for the answers in writing:
- Calendar awareness: Did they ask when your product sells, and did they plan the launch around it?
- Buyer knowledge: Do they arrive with their own checklist of what an importer or project company expects, or do they wait for you to supply it?
- Scope detail: Are pages, languages, form fields and integrations listed item by item in the quote?
- Visible progress: Can you see the current stage yourself without chasing updates by e-mail?
- Live work: Can they show sites in a similar field that you can open on your phone today?
We answer those questions in the first call, and every stage, approval and file sits in our CRM. You can see live projects on our references page; none of them is in Adana, but the logistics, store and clinic builds are close to what Çukurova firms need.
04Keeping the Domain, Hosting, Code and Accounts in Your Name
Every digital asset behind the site should be registered to your company, with the agency added only as an authorized user. In family firms, a domain registered years ago to a relative or former employee can turn a simple renewal into a problem.
At handover, ask for the following:
- Domain: Registered to your legal company name, with registrar access tied to an e-mail address you control.
- Hosting and backups: A hosting account in your name, plus a written note on where backups are stored and how to restore them.
- Code and content: Source code, database and images delivered to you, with usage rights for any custom modules stated in the contract.
- Analytics and ads: Search Console, GA4, Google Business Profile and any ad account owned by your Google account, with the agency added as a manager.
- Business e-mail: SPF, DKIM and DMARC records set up for the addresses you quote from, so offers to foreign buyers do not land in spam.
Exporters should treat the last item as seriously as site speed: a quote that never reaches the buyer costs more than a slow page. You can check your records with our SPF, DKIM and DMARC checker. Add a clause on transferring all access if you ever change agencies.
05How the Online Project Runs, Step by Step
We run each project online from start to finish and leave a written output at the end of every step, so a factory in Kozan and a clinic in Seyhan follow the same structure.
- Discovery call: Over video we discuss products, buyers, markets and season; the result is a written scope and quote.
- Material collection: Product photos, certificates, catalogs and existing texts go into the project area of our CRM, and gaps are listed.
- Sitemap and copy: The page tree and core texts come to you for approval before any visual design.
- Design review: The homepage and one product page are reviewed in a video meeting; development starts only after your sign off.
- Build and test: The site is tested on a staging address on phones, tablets and desktops, with real form submissions.
- Launch and handover: Redirects, tracking and backups are set before launch, followed by a short admin training session.
Photography is often the slowest item in an Adana project, because orchards and packing houses look very different outside harvest. We plan the shoot in the discovery call and, if needed, launch with temporary images and replace them when the season starts.
No step requires meeting in person. If you happen to be in Istanbul and prefer to sit down together, we can meet at our office in Ataşehir.
06Local Search From Seyhan to Kozan
Local visibility rests on one habit: your name, address and phone number appear the same way on your site, your Google Business Profile and every directory listing. The profile name must match your real world business name; stuffing in keywords such as "Cheap AC Repair Adana" breaks Google's guidelines and can get the profile suspended.
Inside the city, proximity weighs heavily. Someone in Çukurova who types only "dentist" mostly sees nearby practices, so these steps matter:
- Precise category: Choose the narrowest primary category that describes you and add secondary categories only for services you actually provide.
- Service area: Businesses that travel to customers, such as HVAC, plumbing or pest control, can hide their address and list the districts they really cover, for example Seyhan, Çukurova, Yüreğir and Sarıçam.
- Branch pages: A real branch in Ceyhan or Kozan deserves its own page with address, staff and hours; without a branch, one clear sentence on the service page is enough.
- Review routine: Send a short review link after each completed job and reply to every review with a signed, specific answer.
Copying one text for every district of Adana and swapping only the name creates what Google treats as doorway pages, which can hurt rankings across the site. If you have no customers in Feke or Saimbeyli, do not publish pages for them. For ongoing local work, see our SEO service.
07English, Arabic or German: When a Second Language Pays Off
A second language pays off only when a real buyer reads it and can send you business; in Adana that buyer usually comes from an export market, an energy project or a foreign shareholder. The Adana Chamber of Industry reports that firms in the province export to 135 countries and that companies with Syrian, German and Iraqi capital lead its foreign owned firms.
- English: Usually the first addition for subcontractors, maintenance and logistics firms serving the pipeline terminals and free zone at Ceyhan, and for manufacturers selling into Europe.
- Arabic: Valuable for food, packaging and building material suppliers selling to Iraq, Syria and the Gulf; because it reads right to left, menus, forms and tables need their own layout.
- German: Worth it for firms with German partners or importers in Germany buying citrus, nuts or spare parts; German buyers also expect a detailed company information page.
Language versions must be connected with hreflang, with each version pointing to the others and to itself; otherwise Google may show a buyer in Erbil the Turkish page. You can generate and check the tags with our hreflang generator.
An Arabic page produced by machine translation and never reviewed does more harm than having none. Have the person who sells into that market check product names, packaging units and delivery terms such as FOB and CIF. If you cannot keep three languages current, start with two.
08Speed and Security for Visitors on the Move
Many visitors to an Adana site are not at a desk: a wholesaler checks specs while trucks are loading, a site engineer reads a contractor's page at the Ceyhan terminal, a relative looks up visiting hours in a hospital car park. We therefore set speed targets for weak mobile connections, not office broadband.
Google's Core Web Vitals define "good" by values met for at least 75% of visits:
- LCP: How long the largest visible element takes to load; 2.5 seconds or less.
- INP: How quickly the page responds to a tap or click; 200 milliseconds or less.
- CLS: How much the layout shifts while loading; 0.1 or less.
On farm and industrial sites, the usual culprit is a batch of orchard, plant and machinery photos uploaded straight from a phone. Converting them to WebP and resizing them to their display size often fixes most of the problem on its own.
For security, the baseline is an SSL certificate, regular updates, daily backups and two step login for the admin area. We filter form spam with invisible verification and route submissions only to the people who need them.
09Adana Sectors and the Pages Each One Needs
In Adana, the right structure depends less on the industry label than on the first question its buyer asks. Chamber data shows that 57% of Turkey's soybean and peanut output, 34% of its watermelons and 29% of its citrus come from Adana, and that the largest production area is the 22,700 decare Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone.
- Citrus and oilseed traders: Variety pages, size grades and packaging options, availability by period and a wholesale request form; see our farm and agriculture website page for the full structure.
- Manufacturers in the industrial zones: Machinery, capacity, tolerances, quality certificates and one page per product group; the manufacturer website page explains the setup for technical buyers.
- Logistics and subcontractors on the Ceyhan corridor: Haulage, storage, maintenance and customs on separate pages, with safety documents easy to find; the logistics company website page shows how.
- Hospitals and polyclinics: Department and physician pages, directions and parking information for patients from Osmaniye, Hatay and Mersin, and a short contact flow.
- Restaurants and grill houses: A menu written as text rather than a photo, a booking or takeaway link and a correctly placed map pin.
10Legal Basics: KVKK, Cookies, Distance Sales, Health Rules
Every Adana website that collects personal data must meet the information duty in Article 10 of KVKK, Turkey's data protection law. If your form asks for a name, phone number or e-mail address, the privacy notice explaining why and how that data is processed should be reachable right next to the form.
- Cookies: Give visitors a real choice before non essential analytics and advertising cookies; for users in the European Economic Area, Google requires consent mode for its measurement and personalized advertising features.
- Distance sales: If you sell to consumers online, show the preliminary information form, the distance sales contract and the withdrawal terms before payment; wholesale sellers should still state delivery and payment terms clearly.
- Health providers: Turkey's regulation on promotion and information in health services of 12 November 2025 bans advertising health services and any price, discount or campaign information, and requires a last updated date and editor contact on the site.
- Health data: A complaint typed into a form is special category data under Article 6 of KVKK, so keep such forms to the minimum fields needed.
The same regulation allows before and after images only under strict conditions: written consent, the same setting and technique, no retouching and a mandatory warning sentence. We write copy within these limits, but final legal review belongs with your own advisor.
11Redesigning an Older Adana Site Without Losing Rankings
The real risk in a redesign is not the new look but changing addresses that Google has known for years without a plan. Older Adana company sites often have product pages that still live in foreign buyers' bookmarks and in links from trade directories.
- URL inventory: List every current address, the pages that get clicks in Search Console and the pages that earn external links.
- One to one mapping: Match each old address to its closest new equivalent; never send everything to the homepage.
- Permanent redirects: Implement the map with 301 redirects so browsers and Google know each page has moved for good.
- Language versions: Map old English or Arabic pages too, and update hreflang tags to the new addresses.
- Post launch monitoring: Watch the indexing and not found reports in Search Console for the first weeks and fix what slipped through.
Our redirect mapping tool compares old and new URL lists so you can spot gaps before launch. Keep the staging site out of search with password protection rather than robots.txt: Google cannot read a noindex tag on a page blocked by robots.txt, so the block alone does not keep it out of the index.
Switch over in a quiet month, not in the middle of harvest or right before a trade fair.
12Common Mistakes on Adana Company Sites
Most weaknesses on Çukurova company sites come from not anticipating the buyer's question rather than from poor design. These six come up again and again, each with a better alternative:
- One heavy PDF catalog: Split product groups into their own pages and keep the PDF only as an optional download.
- No sign of the season: Replace a product list that never changes with a calendar showing what is available when, updated at the start of each season.
- Phone as the only channel: Add an enquiry form that asks for product, quantity and destination port, so a buyer in another time zone can reach you outside office hours.
- Certificates as a row of logos: State each certificate's scope, issuing body and expiry date in text instead of lining up badges.
- Stock photos of someone else's orchard: Use real pictures of your own groves, packing line and loading yard; buyers want to see the actual operation.
- Unchecked machine translation: Launch a small number of pages your sales team has read and approved instead of translating the whole site automatically.
Many of these can be fixed with content and structure changes, without a full rebuild.
13What Drives the Budget
The cost of a web design project in Adana depends on scope, not on the province; our prices are the same for Adana as for anywhere else. These are the main factors that move a quote up or down:
- Product range: An industrial catalog with hundreds of items needs far more work than a citrus list with five varieties.
- Languages and direction: Each extra language means adapted copy, and a right to left language such as Arabic needs its own layout work.
- Integrations: Connections to accounting, stock, CRM or shipping systems widen the scope.
- Custom features: Dealer logins, sample request tracking or shipment lookups are planned as separate software work beyond the website.
- Content and photography: Whether you or we produce the texts and images changes the workload directly.
The sensible way to reduce cost is to narrow the scope, not the quality: start with the main product groups and one extra language, then expand by season. A phased plan also helps a trader launch before harvest. When comparing quotes, ask every agency to price the same item list, so you can see what each one leaves out.
14The First 90 Days and Your Next Step
The first 90 days after launch show who actually sends you enquiries, and we treat that period as part of the project.
- Month one: Check indexing and error reports in Search Console, and form, call and WhatsApp clicks in GA4; fix any tracking gaps.
- Month two: Review which language, district and product page each enquiry came from, then strengthen the copy and forms on weak pages.
- Month three: Add product or service pages in line with the season and decide whether advertising or local visibility work makes sense.
Before the first call, prepare your three most requested products, the reason you lost one recent quote and two competitor sites you respect.
To decide, answer this guide's questions for your own business: who your buyer is, when your season runs, how many languages you need and which documents are ready. Our fixed price packages are listed under web design pricing, and you can book a video discovery call about your Adana project through our contact page. After the call we send a written scope and quote.
