Web design across Turkey and abroad

Web Design in Sivas

The visitor who matters most to a Sivas business might be a rolling stock engineer checking a parts supplier, a family abroad reading about the fish spring at Kangal, or a heritage traveller planning a trip to Divriği. Talha Aslan and team build sites for Sivas companies that answer these readers on the first screen; the scope is written, the work runs online and progress shows in our CRM.

In short

Web design in Sivas means one site that speaks the technical language of the rail industry, answers the questions of heritage and spa visitors, and sells registered regional products. According to TÜRASAŞ, more than 25,000 freight wagons have been built at its Sivas plant to date. Talha Aslan and team run projects for Sivas suppliers, new factories, hotels and producers with a written scope, entirely online, in English or Turkish.

Sivas's business profile

Which readers does a website in Sivas have to answer?

In TÜİK's provincial output data, GDP per head in Sivas rose from 5,924 US dollars in 2020 to 10,697 in 2024, ahead of its neighbours Tokat and Yozgat. Four areas carry that growth, and each gives a website a different job.

Turkey's freight wagon works

The wagon repair plant in Sivas opened on 22 October 1939; today, as the TÜRASAŞ Sivas Regional Directorate, it has built more than 25,000 freight wagons and repaired over 350,000. For the supply chain around it, a site has to show part numbers, welding and quality certificates and machinery in the order an engineer looks for them.

Demirağ OSB with rail sidings

Demirağ Organised Industrial Zone, 25 kilometres from the city centre, saw its first production in 2021 at a wagon factory; by the governorate's 2023 figures, 173 of its 225 plots had been allocated, with rail sidings planned so factories can load wagons directly. A new plant's site has to speak to customers and to the technicians and engineers it wants to hire.

A university city

By its own figures, Sivas Cumhuriyet University has more than 46,000 students in associate and bachelor programmes, and Cumhuriyet Teknokent sits on its campus. For dormitories, course providers, cafés and services, that means a young audience searching on phones: fast mobile pages, with address and contact one tap away.

Seljuk heritage and healing waters

The Great Mosque and Hospital of Divriği has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1985, and the fish spring at Kangal, with water at 36 to 37 degrees, lies 98 kilometres from the city. Since 2023, the high speed line has cut the trip from Ankara to two hours. Hotel sites need clear transport, season and room details.

How we work

Sivas projects start on a video call and are tracked in our CRM

We have no office in Sivas, and we say so in the first call. With Sivas companies and their partners abroad we hold the kickoff, design approval and panel training on video in English or Turkish; the scope is tied to a written quote, approvals and payment happen online, and you can see the status of every task in our CRM. If you are in Istanbul, we can also meet at our Ataşehir office by appointment.

Talha Aslan sets the strategy; design, development and content sit with experienced team members. With a rail industry supplier in Sivas, the work often starts by collecting scattered documents: quality certificates, part drawings, trade fair brochures. We turn them into product and document pages and agree in writing which files are public and which are shared on request.

  • Video kickoff with questions sent in advance
  • Every page and language listed in the quote
  • Spec sheets and certificates gathered in one archive
  • No code before the design is approved
  • Panel training and support after launch

Sites most requested in Sivas

The site types Sivas's economy needs most

The rail industry, a new industrial zone, spa and heritage tourism and registered regional products turn into these structures.

Rail supply chain and metalwork

For firms making bogies, brake parts, steel structures or welded components: pages organised by part number, a document archive and an RFQ form that accepts drawings; see the website for manufacturers page.

Stays on the spa and heritage route

For hotels and guesthouses in Kangal, Divriği and the city: rooms, transport, arrival tips based on train times and an enquiry form in English and Turkish; the hotel website page goes further.

Registered regional products online

For sellers of geographical indication products such as Sivas hand knotted carpets, Şarkışla kilims, Sivas knives or Gemerek guelder rose juice: an online shop with the story of origin, sizes, care and clear shipping terms.

Services around the campus

For course providers, dormitories, cafés and services aimed at students: fast mobile pages, WhatsApp contact and easy map listings; the tutoring centre website page shows the education side.

Process

From brief to launch in four steps

  1. Discovery and scope

We define your business, your audience and the site’s one-sentence job: who it sells what to, through which action. Scope and timeline are written from that answer.

  2. Design approval

The home page and key templates come to you as designs first; no code is written before your approval. We do not like surprises, and we do not cause them.

  3. Development

The approved design becomes fast, secure, maintainable code. You follow progress in the CRM and see every page in a staging environment before launch.

  4. Launch and measurement

The site goes live with analytics, Search Console and conversion tracking connected; panel training is given, first-year hosting and maintenance included.

In-depth guide

Web Design Sivas: Sites for Rail Suppliers, Heritage Stays and Makers

Talha Aslan and teamLast updated: 16 min read

Most people who judge a Sivas business by its website will never have been to Sivas. A wagon builder abroad checks whether a brake component supplier can document its welding, a couple planning a trip to the Divriği Great Mosque compares guesthouses, a carpet buyer wants proof that a rug really was knotted in the region. They make up their minds before writing a single email.

In this guide Talha Aslan and team set out the decisions behind a web design Sivas project, from what the site has to prove to what happens in the first three months after launch.

What a Website Has to Prove in Sivas's Economy

In web design Sivas projects, the site first has to show that a firm in a fast growing Anatolian province can deliver to demanding buyers. TÜİK's provincial output data put GDP per person in Sivas at 5,924 dollars in 2020 and 10,697 dollars in 2024. In 2024 that placed Sivas between its neighbors: roughly 12.0 thousand dollars in Erzincan and 8.1 thousand in Tokat.

The growth rests on very different activities. The state rail vehicle company TÜRASAŞ reports that its Sivas plant, opened in 1939, has built more than 25,000 freight wagons and repaired more than 350,000, and a supply base for bogies, brakes and welded parts grew around it. Add the new Demirağ organized industrial zone, a university with more than 46,000 associate and undergraduate students, and a UNESCO World Heritage site in Divriği.

Before any layout work, write down three answers:

  • Decision maker: Is it a quality engineer at a rolling stock maker, a family booking a spa weekend, or a retailer importing flat weave kilims?
  • Trigger: Which piece of information makes that person request a quote, send a booking inquiry or place an order?
  • Evidence on hand: Which certificates, machine lists, room photos or registration papers exist today, in a usable form?

Who Searches for Sivas, and What They Type

Searches that lead to Sivas businesses fall into four groups, and each needs its own landing page rather than one crowded About page.

  • Procurement searches: "freight wagon brake parts manufacturer Turkey" or "welded steel structure supplier"; the city name often never appears, so part numbers, materials and certificates do the work.
  • Travel searches: "Divriği Great Mosque how to get there", "Kangal fish spring hotel" or "Sıcak Çermik accommodation"; visitors ask about route, season and rooms in the same session.
  • Student searches: At the start of each semester, students and parents look for dorms, tutoring centers and cafés near the campus, almost always on a phone with location turned on.
  • Job searches: Welders, technicians and engineers type the name of a new plant in the Demirağ zone; without a careers page they move on to the next employer.

The calendar shifts the mix. Spa and heritage trips cluster in summer and around public holidays, winter brings questions about road conditions and heating, and the semester start compresses campus demand into a few weeks. Plan content against that cycle so that the seasonal page is live and indexed before the season starts, not during it.

Foreign readers often search for the monument or the product rather than the province, so English headings should name the thing itself, such as Divriği hospital complex.

Hiring a Team Outside the Province, Done Properly

Our work with Sivas businesses runs entirely online, so the right partner is the one whose process leaves a written trail, not the one closest to your door. Distance hurts only when approvals go unrecorded.

Ask every agency you talk to for written answers to these questions:

  • Single contact: After signing, who answers your questions, and can that person explain a hosting or form decision in plain language?
  • Page by page scope: Does the proposal list every page, language and form, or does it just say "corporate website"?
  • Document handling: How will scattered certificates, drawings and trade fair brochures be collected, and who decides which ones are public?
  • Visible progress: Is there a dashboard where you can see design, content and testing status without chasing anyone?
  • Live work: Which launched sites close to your sector can you open on your own phone right now?

Insist on live addresses for that last point. Filling in a real inquiry form and watching how fast a page loads on your own phone tells you more than any slide deck. Our finished work is on the references page; none of it comes from Sivas, and we do not present it as if it did.

After each video call, ask for a short written list of decisions; months later it settles any argument about what was agreed.

Who Should Own the Domain, Hosting and Accounts

The domain, the server and every account attached to the site must be registered to your company, and that should be written into the proposal before work begins. In family firms, a site built years ago by a relative sometimes still sits in that person's private account.

On handover day, confirm that you hold the following:

  • Domain registration: The registrant is your legal entity, and renewal notices go to a company mailbox rather than a personal one.
  • Server access: You have administrator access to the hosting panel and a written note of where backups live and how often they run.
  • Code and database: The complete files can be exported on request, and paid plugin licenses are listed with the name they were bought under.
  • Analytics and profile accounts: Search Console, GA4 and the Google Business Profile are owned by your company account, with the agency added only as a user.
  • Source documents: The originals of every certificate and data sheet published on the site are stored in a folder you control.

Large rail customers may review a supplier's mail setup during audits, so company email should run on your own domain, under your administration. You can check whether SPF, DKIM and DMARC records are in place with our email authentication checker; these records tell receiving servers that your messages are genuine and keep quotes out of spam folders.

The Online Project Process, Step by Step

A remote project moves quickly when the order of steps is fixed and each approval is recorded. With Sivas businesses we work in this sequence:

  1. Discovery call: On a shared screen we go through your product range or guest profile, your competitors' sites and your current website.
  2. Written proposal: Pages, languages, forms and the timeline are listed in one document; work starts once you approve it.
  3. Material list: We turn the photos, certificates and texts we need from you into a checklist and gather scattered archives into one folder.
  4. Design draft: You open the draft in your own browser and pin comments to the exact section; development waits for your approval.
  5. Build and test: Forms, file upload fields and pages are tried on different phones and browsers.
  6. Launch and training: After launch a recorded video session shows your team how to update content from the panel.

Every step is visible in our CRM as it happens. If you prefer to meet in person, we can see you by appointment at our office in Ataşehir when you are in Istanbul; the project still runs on the same screen.

Step three is where timelines usually slip. When quality certificates sit with one department, product photos with another and the machine list with accounting, naming one person in your company to collect everything saves weeks.

Local Search in Sivas Without Doorway Pages

Map visibility starts with your Google Business Profile and your website saying exactly the same thing: name, address, phone and hours must match character for character. TÜİK's 2025 figures show 488,600 of the province's 631,401 residents living in the provincial and district centers, so most local searches come from towns rather than villages, and above all from the city center.

Google's guidelines require the profile name to match your real world signage, with no keywords added; a name like "Firm Name Sivas Cheap Boiler Repair" puts the listing at risk. Service businesses that travel to customers may hide their address and define a service area instead.

For district searches we follow four rules:

  • Real coverage only: If you genuinely serve Şarkışla, Zara, Suşehri, Gürün or Yıldızeli, name those districts clearly on the service page.
  • No cloned pages: Seventeen pages that differ only by district name look like doorway pages to Google and weaken the whole site.
  • Earned district pages: A separate page for Kangal or Divriği makes sense only if you run a property, a branch or a real service there.
  • Identical spelling: Company name, street and phone number appear the same way in directories as in the profile, down to street abbreviations.

Industrial suppliers are a different case. A buyer types the part name, not the district, so effort spent on part number pages pays off more than local pages. If you want map visibility and technical product search planned together, see our SEO service.

When an English Version Pays Off for a Sivas Business

In web design Sivas decisions, a second language is worth building only when a specific foreign reader exists; without that reader it becomes pages nobody maintains.

English earns its place in these cases:

  • Rail and metal suppliers: A rolling stock or component maker abroad will want data sheets, certificates and capacity details in English before a first call.
  • Divriği and spa hospitality: A UNESCO listed monument draws foreign travelers; a guesthouse with English directions, room details and an inquiry form becomes reachable to them.
  • Registered regional products: An overseas buyer of Sivas hand knotted carpets or Şarkışla kilims looks for origin, materials, sizes and care instructions in English.
  • Foreign investors in the Demirağ zone: A plant with a foreign parent company may need English pages for group communication and partner audits.

A café near the campus or a contractor serving only the province usually gains more from mobile speed and a well kept map listing than from translation.

When you do add English, give each language its own URL and connect them with hreflang, the tag that tells Google which page is the language version of which; every version must point to itself and to its counterpart. You can generate correct tags with our hreflang generator. Write the English text for its reader, with metric and imperial sizes where buyers expect them, and have it read by someone who knows the trade vocabulary.

Speed, Hosting and Security Checks

Speed matters in Sivas for two very different readers: a student on mobile data near the campus and an engineer opening heavy technical files from an office abroad. We measure it with the three Core Web Vitals values Google uses.

A page passes when these targets are met for at least 75 percent of visits. LCP, the time until the largest element on screen appears, should be 2.5 seconds or less. INP, how quickly the page reacts to a tap or click, should be 200 milliseconds or less. CLS, which measures how much content jumps while loading, should stay at 0.1 or below.

The usual culprits on Sivas sites, and their fixes:

  • One giant PDF catalog: Split it into smaller files per product group and put a text summary of each part on its own page.
  • Uncompressed spa and hotel photos: Convert images to modern formats and load everything below the first screen only as the visitor scrolls.
  • Drawing upload fields: Limit file types and size on the quote form, and never store incoming drawings in a publicly reachable folder.

Before launch, also confirm that the SSL certificate renews automatically, that backups sit on a different server and that a restore has been tested once.

Site Structures for Typical Sivas Sectors

In a web design Sivas project, the first menu item depends on the sector. The examples below are not client stories; they are general structures we recommend for business types that the province's economy produces.

  • Rail supply chain: Product groups first, then welding and quality certificates, machine park and the sample process; the quote form asks separately for drawings, quantities and delivery location. We explain the full setup on our manufacturing company website page.
  • New plant in the Demirağ zone: Before production starts, a short company profile, open positions and an application form; product pages join the same structure once the line is running.
  • Stays on the Kangal and Divriği route: Room pages, arrival suggestions based on high speed train times from Ankara, and directions to the fish spring 98 kilometers from the center; verifiable facts such as a water temperature of 36 to 37 degrees, never promises of a cure.
  • Registered regional products: For Sivas knives, Gemerek gilaburu juice or hand knotted carpets, an origin story, production method, dimensions and care notes.
  • Campus services: Tutoring centers and dorms need semester dates, a map, one tap WhatsApp contact and a short registration form. Our tutoring center website page covers the enrollment flow.

If a customer contract limits what you may publish, for example a rule against naming the rail operator you supply, tell us in the first call so the structure respects it from the start.

Legal Basics: KVKK, Cookies and Online Sales

The legal texts on a Sivas website must describe the data you really collect and the sales you really make; templates copied from another company are noticed quickly by corporate buyers. Careers and quote forms are the most overlooked collection points.

  • Information notice: Turkey's data protection law, KVKK (Law No. 6698), requires in Article 10 that people are told who controls their data, for what purpose and on what legal basis at the point of collection; a careers form that takes CVs is included.
  • Data minimization: Do not ask applicants for ID numbers or health details on a web form; health data is special category data under Article 6 and needs stricter handling.
  • Cookie notice: Describe the analytics and ad tools that actually run; for visitors from the European Economic Area, non essential tracking may start only after consent, and Google requires consent mode for its measurement and personalized ad features there.
  • Distance sales: A shop selling carpets, kilims or regional food to Turkish consumers must show the pre contract information and the right of withdrawal required by the Distance Contracts Regulation before payment.
  • Geographical indication emblem: Confirm the conditions for using it with TÜRKPATENT or the registration holder.

Hotels near the spring should keep any health statement within the advertising rules in force and the information published by the competent authorities. If you plan to sell knives, ask your carrier about its rules for bladed items before launch. For payment, shipping and returns, see our e-commerce service; the legal content itself should be approved by you or your adviser.

Redesigning Without Losing Search Rankings

A redesign keeps its rankings when every address Google already knows gets a matching page on the new site. For manufacturers this matters more than usual, because an old part number page or a PDF catalog may attract more search visits than the company name ever does.

  1. Inventory: List every page, every PDF and every URL that earns clicks in Search Console.
  2. One to one mapping: Connect each old product or service address to the new page whose content resembles it most; sending everything to the homepage throws away what those pages had earned.
  3. Permanent redirects: Set the mapping up as 301 redirects, the status code that tells search engines a page has moved for good.
  4. Post launch watch: In the following weeks, track not found warnings and add any old address the list missed.

Do not rely on robots.txt alone to hide a staging site. When robots.txt blocks crawling, Google never sees a noindex tag on that page; a page you want kept out of the index has to be crawlable and carry noindex. Password protection is the cleanest option for staging.

Upload both URL lists to our redirect mapping tool to catch pages without a match before launch day. If the new structure keeps part numbers in the URLs, most of the mapping solves itself.

Common Mistakes on Sivas Business Websites

The weak points on Sivas business sites are rarely visual; they appear when nobody asked who would read the site. Six typical mistakes, each with a better approach:

  1. Certificates posted as phone photos: Write the standard, the issuing body and the expiry date as text, and offer the scanned original as a download next to it.
  2. A homepage of Seljuk monuments for a factory: The city's architecture can appear, but a manufacturer's first screen should say what it makes and for whom.
  3. Cure claims for the spring: Replace "find healing" with the water temperature, the facilities, the route and the season.
  4. Careers page postponed: In a new plant the most frequent early visitor is a job seeker; publish open positions from launch day.
  5. No train information: Guests arriving from Ankara by high speed train in about two hours need one clear paragraph on getting from the station to your door.
  6. Selling regional products only through direct messages: Build a product page with sizes, care, shipping terms and the required pre contract information instead of taking orders in chat.

Most of these can be fixed without a new site; check first which ones a content and layout revision would solve before planning a full relaunch.

What Drives the Budget

The cost of a web design Sivas project depends on scope, not on the city; our prices are the same in every province. What enlarges a proposal is how much information the site carries and how many systems it connects to.

  • Product and document depth: Hundreds of part numbers, each with a data sheet, plus a document archive opened on request, add content and development work.
  • Additional languages: Each language needs text written for its readers, its own URL structure and language tags.
  • Online shop: Selling carpets, kilims, knives or regional food adds payment, shipping, stock and legal pages to the scope.
  • Integrations: A booking engine, a CRM or an internal system connection lengthens testing.
  • New photography: If the machine park or the rooms need to be shot again, that work is planned separately.

Separate what must launch now from what can follow in six months. A new plant in the Demirağ zone can open with a company profile and a careers page, then add its catalog once the production line is settled. That order ties the first investment to real demand.

The First 90 Days and Your Next Step

Launch starts the measurement phase; what you learn in the first 90 days tells you where further effort belongs. We suggest this rhythm:

  • Month one: Confirm that analytics collect correct data, track forms, calls and WhatsApp clicks as separate conversions, and close crawl errors.
  • Month two: Improve the most visited product or room pages and check which form fields make visitors give up.
  • Month three: Add content for the coming season or a new product group; spa properties prepare before summer, campus businesses before the semester.

Before choosing a partner, write your own answers to the three questions in the first section: who decides, which evidence is ready, and whether a second language truly has a reader.

Package contents and fixed prices are listed in our pricing section. When your answers are ready, get in touch; after a short video call we send a written, page by page scope for your web design Sivas project.
