Web Design in Bingol

If you import honey from Bingol, buy mulberry pekmez for a shop abroad or plan a trip to the floating islands, the first thing you check is the supplier's website. Talha Aslan and team build sites for Bingol producers and service businesses that show origin, documents and the way to order plainly and load quickly even on a weak connection; the scope is agreed in writing and the whole project runs online.

In short

Web design in Bingol is mostly about presenting the province's natural products to distant buyers with confidence. TÜİK data show 172,825 beehives in Bingol in 2025, and Bingöl honey was registered as a geographical indication in the European Union in 2024. Talha Aslan and team build product and order focused sites for beekeepers, pekmez makers, livestock and dairy farms, highland hosts and service firms in the city centre.

Bingol's business profile

What does a Bingol website need to carry?

TÜİK records show 283,276 people living in Bingol at the end of 2024, and the province's 2024 GDP was 74 billion lira; the provincial agriculture directorate reports farming as the third largest branch of the local economy, with a 12.44% share excluding taxes. Honey, pasture livestock, a registered pekmez and nature tourism shape what a site here should say.

The first Turkish honey registered in the EU

Following an application by Bingöl University, Bingöl honey was registered as a geographical indication in Turkey on 7 October 2022 and in the European Union on 10 July 2024. Beekeepers and packers can pass that value on to buyers by showing lab reports, the highland of harvest and jar options plainly.

A third of the land is pasture

The provincial agriculture directorate's 2025 report puts meadows and pasture at 31.3% of the province's area; TÜİK 2025 data count 734,553 sheep and goats, 336,617 of them in Karlıova. Fattening, sacrificial livestock and dairy farms should make animals, delivery and contact clear before the season starts.

Servi mulberry pekmez travels abroad

Sivan (Servi) Dut Pekmezi, made from mulberries grown around Servi in the Genç district, received a geographical indication on 22 January 2021; the report lists 509 producers and around 300 tonnes in 2025, and pekmez was shipped to Germany and the Netherlands that year. Buyers abroad want shipping and customs details next to the product.

The floating islands and the highlands

The Floating Islands on Turna Lake, in the Aksakal area of Hazarşah village in Solhan, are protected as a natural monument; Anadolu Agency reports around 22,000 visitors in a year. Campsites, guesthouses and breakfast spots can meet these visitors with directions and pages updated for each season.

How we work

Bingol projects run on screen, on a written plan

We have no branch or agent working on our behalf in Bingol. Whether you keep bees, raise livestock or run a guesthouse there, or buy from Bingol suppliers abroad, the first call, draft review and panel training take place over video in English or Turkish; hive, product and landscape photos go into a shared folder, and the contract and payment are completed online. If you are in Istanbul, you are welcome to meet us at our Ataşehir office by appointment.

Talha Aslan sets the direction of each project; experienced colleagues handle design, development and copy. For a honey seller, the first question we ask is what makes a buyer trust the product: a lab report, the registration or the name of the highland. For a campsite near the floating islands, it is which road guests take to the lake and in which season. The page structure follows those answers.

  • Products and buyers discussed in the first call
  • Pages and languages listed one by one in the quote
  • Coding starts once the design draft is approved
  • Progress followed on our CRM screen
  • Panel training after launch

Sites often requested in Bingol

What Bingol businesses and their partners need most

Beekeeping, wide pastures, a registered pekmez, lake and highland tourism and a university town translate into these needs on the site.

Beekeepers and honey packers

Product pages backed by the highland name, harvest year and lab report, a separate quote form for wholesale buyers and an optional online shop. See our website for agricultural businesses page for the structure.

Fattening, sacrificial livestock and dairy farms

Animal and product lists, slaughter and delivery options, a page for the Eid al Adha season and a tap to call button; answering the usual questions on the site cuts down the calls in peak weeks.

Campsites, guesthouses and highland stays

Directions to the lake and the pastures, services open in each season, a photo gallery and a booking request; the campsite website page explains the setup.

Service businesses around the university

Bingöl University was founded in 2007 and brings new students to the city every year. For tutoring centres, dormitories, cafés and clinics we build simple sites that take an enrolment or appointment request in a few steps.

Process

From brief to launch in four steps

  1. Discovery and scope

We define your business, your audience and the site’s one-sentence job: who it sells what to, through which action. Scope and timeline are written from that answer.

  2. Design approval

The home page and key templates come to you as designs first; no code is written before your approval. We do not like surprises, and we do not cause them.

  3. Development

The approved design becomes fast, secure, maintainable code. You follow progress in the CRM and see every page in a staging environment before launch.

  4. Launch and measurement

The site goes live with analytics, Search Console and conversion tracking connected; panel training is given, first-year hosting and maintenance included.

In-depth guide

Web Design Bingol: Sites for Honey, Pekmez, Livestock and Lake Stays

Talha Aslan and teamLast updated: 16 min read

Most people who read a Bingol business website are somewhere else. A grocery buyer in Istanbul comparing honey suppliers, a family in Rotterdam ordering mulberry pekmez for the winter, a couple planning a weekend at Lake Turna: none of them can taste the product or meet the producer first. They decide on the strength of what the page shows them, and that is where web design Bingol projects either earn trust or lose it.

We are Talha Aslan and team, and we wrote this guide for beekeepers, pekmez makers, livestock farms, highland guesthouses and service businesses in the city center who are planning a new website. The sections follow the order in which decisions come up during a real project. Each one ends in something you can act on.

The Job a Website Does in Bingol's Economy

In Bingol, a website's first task is to make a product from a small province credible to buyers in much larger markets. TÜİK records put the population at 283,276 at the end of 2024, which is 0.33% of Turkey's total and below the shares of neighboring Muş and Elazığ. With a narrow local market, much of the demand comes from outside, so the site has to sell without a handshake.

The provincial agriculture directorate's 2025 report ranks farming as the third largest branch of the local economy, with a 12.44% share excluding taxes, and records 31.3% of the land as meadow and pasture. Many sites here are really product dossiers. Before any design work starts, answer three questions in writing:

  • Proof of origin: Which document will show a buyer that your honey or pekmez comes from where you say it does: a lab analysis, a registration certificate or your food business registration number?
  • Who orders: Do orders come from retail customers, wholesale buyers or relatives abroad, and what should each of them do first on the site?
  • When it matters: In which months do harvest, Kurban (the Feast of Sacrifice) and highland season begin, and how many weeks earlier should the site be updated?

Who Searches for What: Products, Places and Seasons

A large share of the searches that lead to a Bingol business come from people outside the province who are curious about a product or a place, so pages should be split by search intent.

  • The product searcher: Someone typing "Bingol honey buy online", "Servi mulberry pekmez" or "highland honey lab report" needs a product page, the supporting document and a clear way to order.
  • The place searcher: A visitor looking up "floating islands camping" or "Solhan guesthouse" needs a map, written directions and the months you are open.
  • The local customer: A resident or student in the central district searching for a dentist, an exam prep course or a car inspection needs opening hours, an address and a click to call button.

Seasons reshape these patterns. Lake and pasture searches rise in spring and summer, honey questions follow the harvest, and livestock farms get their busiest phone weeks before Kurban. Bingol University, founded in 2007, brings new students to the city every autumn, which wakes up searches for courses, dormitories and cafés each September.

Sketch a twelve month calendar for your own business: in which month are you found, and through which question? That one page tells you which content to refresh and when.

Hiring a Team Outside the Province

Our work with businesses in Bingol runs fully online, which means you should judge a partner by how clearly they document the process, not by how close their office is. In web design Bingol projects, distance stops mattering once every decision is written down. Ask every agency you speak with for written answers to these points:

  • Page list: Is every product, certificate, ordering and contact page named in the proposal?
  • Photo plan: Who will photograph the hives, pastures or animals, and if you shoot on a phone, will you get a shot list?
  • Approval order: Will you see and sign off on the design mockup before any coding begins?
  • Progress view: Is there a dashboard where you can check the project stage without chasing anyone by message?
  • Live work: Which of their published sites in farming, livestock or hospitality can you open and test today?

Ask for live addresses, not screenshots, and open them on your phone over mobile data. You can see our published projects on our references page, including a site for a business selling livestock for Kurban.

Domain, Hosting and Account Ownership

Every asset tied to your website should be registered to your business, and that rule belongs in the contract from day one. Family firms often have a site registered years ago in a relative's name; when that person cannot be reached, the domain lapses.

  • Domain: The registrant should be your company or its owner, and renewal notices should go to an inbox you control.
  • Hosting: You should have admin access to the hosting panel and a written note on where backups are stored and how often they run.
  • Code and content: Files and database must be deliverable in full on request, and paid plugin licenses should state whose name they are under.
  • Analytics and maps: Search Console, GA4 and your Google Business Profile should live in your own Google account, with the agency added only as a user.
  • Order line: The WhatsApp number that receives orders should be a permanent business number, not an employee's personal line.

On handover day, go through this list together and log in to each account with your own password. Keep credentials in a password manager, not a notes app on your phone.

From First Video Call to Launch, Step by Step

Every stage of a web design Bingol project with us happens on screen, and each one leaves a written record behind. This is the sequence we follow:

  1. Discovery call: On a video call we listen to how you produce, whom you sell to and when your seasons fall; afterward you receive a written summary of what was decided.
  2. Scope and proposal: Pages, languages and extra features are listed one by one, and anything out of scope is stated plainly.
  3. Content collection: Photos, certificates and product details go into a shared folder, and we send a checklist for whatever is missing.
  4. Design mockup: You see the phone layout first, then desktop; coding starts only after your approval.
  5. Build and testing: The site is tested on real devices and throttled connections, and every form and WhatsApp link is checked by hand.
  6. Launch and training: After launch we walk you through the admin panel on a recorded video call you can rewatch any time.

Throughout the project you can follow progress in our CRM. If you happen to be in Istanbul, we are glad to meet by appointment at our office in Ataşehir, but this is entirely optional; no stage of the work requires an in person meeting.

Local Search Across Merkez, Solhan and Karlıova

Local visibility starts with your Google Business Profile and your website confirming each other with identical details. More than half of the province lives in the central district, Merkez, so most local service searches cluster there, while Solhan, Genç and Karlıova behave like separate markets with their own customers.

  • Business name: The profile name must match the name on your sign; Google's guidelines do not allow adding keywords such as "Bingol honey" to it.
  • Hidden address: A business that does not receive customers at its premises, such as a farm delivering animals to villages, can hide its address and define a service area instead.
  • Category and photos: Pick the primary category that describes your work most narrowly, and add fresh photos every season.
  • District pages: Create a page only for a district you genuinely serve, and fill it with information specific to that district.

Publishing pages for Kiğı, Adaklı, Yayladere and Yedisu that differ only in the place name creates what Google calls doorway pages, meaning pages produced only to catch searches. For a livestock farm in Karlıova, by contrast, one page covering the local delivery point, slaughter options and road access is useful content.

Reviews belong to the same routine. Sending customers a short message with your profile link after delivery is the simplest way to collect them. If you want this handled month after month, our SEO service tracks local visibility on a regular schedule.

A Second Language for Diaspora and Foreign Buyers

For Bingol businesses, a second language pays off for diaspora customers and foreign wholesale buyers far more than for tourists. According to the provincial agriculture directorate, Sivan (Servi) mulberry pekmez was shipped to Germany and the Netherlands in 2025, which shows that a German or English page can reach actual buyers. These are the situations where a second language earns its keep:

  • Regular shipping abroad: If you send parcels to Germany, the Netherlands or elsewhere, writing delivery times, customs and payment details in the buyer's language cuts down repeat questions.
  • Second generation buyers: Younger members of the diaspora who speak Turkish but struggle to read it order more easily from a short German page.
  • Importers: Bingol honey's registration in the EU makes an English product and certificate page meaningful for a European importer.
  • Academic visitors: A business working with the university can offer an English introduction to guests arriving for conferences or joint projects.

Each language should sit at its own address and be linked to the others with reciprocal hreflang annotations, the tags that tell Google which language version is which, with each version also referencing itself. You can draft the tags with our hreflang generator, but first write down the buyer's questions in that language: delivery time, broken jars, whose name goes on the invoice.

Fast Pages on Weak Signals, Plus Security

A Bingol site is often opened on the road, in the highlands or at a lakeshore on a weak mobile signal, so speed here is a design decision rather than a technical extra. A visitor driving to the floating islands should still see the directions when the signal drops. Google's Core Web Vitals define "good" at the 75th percentile of visits:

  • LCP: How long the largest image or text block takes to load; 2.5 seconds or less.
  • INP: How quickly the page responds to a tap or click; 200 milliseconds or less.
  • CLS: How much elements shift around while loading; 0.1 or less.

To meet these thresholds we resize hive and pasture photos before upload, convert them to modern formats and load only what is visible on screen at first. Directions appear as text first, and the map loads only when someone asks for it. You can check how your current site performs on a phone with our mobile friendly test.

Security basics are an SSL certificate, current software, regular backups stored off the server and spam protection on forms. Phone numbers submitted through an order form are personal data, so also ask where form submissions are stored and for how long.

Page Structures for Honey, Pekmez, Livestock and Camps

In web design Bingol projects, each sector has to show buyers a different kind of proof, so one template cannot serve four businesses.

  • Beekeepers and packers: Bingol honey was registered as a geographical indication in Turkey on 7 October 2022 and in the EU on 10 July 2024. Product pages should name the highland, the harvest year, the lab report and the jar options; check the usage conditions set by the registration holder, Bingol University, before using the registered name or logo.
  • Pekmez makers: Sivan (Servi) mulberry pekmez received its geographical indication in 2021, and the directorate's report lists 509 producers. To stand out among them, show your production site, boiling method and packaging in photos.
  • Livestock and dairy farms: Of the province's 734,553 sheep and goats, 336,617 are in Karlıova. Before Kurban, gather the animal list, delivery options and frequent questions on a dedicated page.
  • Camps and guesthouses: Anadolu Agency reported about 22,000 visitors to the floating islands in one year. For them, put services open by season, directions and a booking request form up front.

We describe the full structure of production and product pages on our farm business website page, and the layout for lake and highland stays on our campsite website page.

Adding structured data to product pages, code that states name, origin, weight and stock in a format search engines can read, helps those pages be understood correctly when people search by product name rather than by your company name.

KVKK, Cookie Notices and Online Sales Terms

Even a small producer site needs complete legal texts, because the moment you add an order form you are processing personal data. Turkey's data protection law, KVKK (Law No. 6698), requires you under Article 10 to give the people whose data you collect an information notice.

  • Information notice: Explain in plain language which data you keep, why, for how long and what rights people have, and link it directly below the form.
  • Cookie notice: Do not fire non essential analytics or advertising cookies before the visitor consents; for visitors from the European Economic Area, Google also requires consent mode for measurement and personalized ads.
  • Online sales terms: If you take payment on the site, you need a preliminary information form, a distance sales contract, return and withdrawal terms and delivery times in writing; ask your lawyer about exceptions that apply to food.
  • Product information: Show the same business and product details that appear on your label, and avoid sentences that make health claims.

If you ship abroad, the destination country's food labeling and customs rules may differ from Turkey's, so confirm what the page says with your customs broker. If you plan to start selling online, we design payment, shipping and stock together as part of our e-commerce service.

These texts are not a one time task. Whenever you switch couriers, payment providers or analytics tools, the information notice and sales terms should be updated the same day.

Redesigning Without Losing Search Rankings

When you rebuild a site that has been live for years, the real risk is not the new design but losing the old addresses. In web design Bingol redesigns, an old product page that has earned a place in search results must not end up as a dead link. We follow this sequence for a safe migration:

  1. Inventory: Export from Search Console every URL that received clicks in the past twelve months, along with pages that have links from other sites.
  2. Mapping: Point each old URL to its closest equivalent on the new site with a permanent 301 redirect, rather than sending everything to the homepage.
  3. Content retention: Keep and improve the title and main text of pages that already rank instead of deleting them.
  4. Staging site: Keep the site under construction out of the index with noindex, not robots.txt; Google cannot read the noindex tag on a page that robots.txt blocks. Put removal of that tag on the launch day checklist.
  5. Post launch monitoring: Watch the 404 errors and indexing reports in Search Console for the first few weeks.

Seasonal products get a rule of their own. When the harvest sells out, we keep the page live with a note such as "sold out this season, leave your number to hear about the next harvest" instead of deleting it. The page keeps its search history until next season, and visitors leave a lead instead of a bounce.

Six Common Mistakes on Bingol Business Sites

Most mistakes on business sites in this province come down to the same thing: the product's value never reaches the distant buyer. Here are the most common ones, each with a better alternative:

  • Hiding the proof: Instead of sending the lab report only to customers who ask on WhatsApp, state the report date and the lab's name on the product page and offer the document as a download.
  • Using stock images: Instead of a generic honey or lake photo from the internet, show your own hives, pastures and filling area.
  • Overblown health claims: Instead of "cures everything" style phrases, name the floral source, the harvest location and the analysis result.
  • Phone only ordering: Instead of losing buyers who call after hours, add a WhatsApp link and a short order form.
  • A summer site all winter: Instead of leaving summer photos up all year on a camp or guesthouse site, state which services stay open in winter and whom to call about road conditions.
  • Thin product listings: Instead of listing products by name alone, give the weight, packaging type and shipping time for each.

Most of these can be fixed with content changes alone, without waiting for a new site.

What Drives the Size of a Proposal

Scope, not location, sets the budget for a web design Bingol project; our prices are the same for a beekeeper in Solhan as for a firm in a large city. These are the decisions that shape a proposal most:

  • Number of products: A showcase site with three products and a catalog with dozens of varieties, sizes and pack types are very different amounts of work.
  • Online payment: Taking orders through WhatsApp is a much simpler setup than a store with a payment gateway, stock control and courier integration.
  • Languages: Each extra language means adapted copy, a separate address and its own technical setup.
  • Photos and copy: Whether you supply the content or we write it changes the workload considerably.
  • Booking flows: A simple booking request form and a calendar based reservation system are separate scopes.

A practical way to balance the budget is to phase the work. A pekmez maker, for example, might launch with Turkish product and certificate pages plus WhatsApp ordering, then add a German page and online payment once orders from abroad actually start arriving.

The First 90 Days and Your Next Step

Whether a site works only becomes clear through measurement in the three months after launch, which is why we treat the first 90 days as part of the project.

  • Month one: We monitor Search Console and GA4 and record WhatsApp taps, calls and form submissions as conversions.
  • Month two: We improve the most visited product or accommodation pages and fix the points where the ordering flow stalls.
  • Month three: Based on where inquiries came from, we decide together on new content, a second language or advertising.

To make your decision, first answer the three questions from the start of this guide for your own business: who your buyer is, which documents you already hold and which season you need to be ready for. You can review our fixed price packages in the pricing section of our web design page, and reach us through our contact page to book a short video call from Bingol.

On that call we listen to your products and seasonal calendar, then follow up with a written scope and proposal. If the site must be ready for harvest or Kurban, book the call a few weeks before the season.
